Tijdsbesparing voor de huisarts

Minder complicaties bij de patiënt

Wanneer patiënten met de app aan de slag gaan, kunnen zij met al hun technische en servicevragen eveneens bij MiGuide terecht. Brandenburg: ‘We ontlasten de huisartsen zoveel mogelijk, zodat zij zich op hun core business kunnen concentreren: zorg verlenen.’ Het voordeel voor de patiënt is dat de app meer inzicht in, en controle over het ziektebeeld geeft, vertelt de ChiefMedical Officer. ‘Onderzoeken tonen aan dat dit veel doet met de kwaliteit van leven.’ Daarnaast wordt het makkelijker om een gezonde leefstijl aan te nemen, en om deze vol te houden. ‘Een leefstijl die het leven met diabetes type 2 beter maakt.’ Door de dagelijkse begeleiding van diabetespatiënten digitaal uit handen te geven, blijft de zorginhoud in de praktijk. Uiteindelijk gaat het namelijk om de kwaliteit van leven, vinden Huizinga en Brandenburg.
